In one of 12 MLS games Wednesday, Toronto FC (3 wins, 8 losses, 5 draws) travel to take on the Philadelphia Union (6-4-7) at Subaru Park. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Toronto FC vs. Philadelphia Union odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

After both sides had to deal with extensive absences due to CONCACAF Gold Cup action, they should be looking to get back to top form ahead of the MLS break.

The Union welcomed back F Cory Burke, GK Andre Blake and D Alvas Powell. They tied the Chicago Fire this past Saturday, the first time Blake had been back in goal since leaving for the Gold Cup.

As for Toronto, it had its five Gold Cup players back as none made it to the Mexico-USA final. TFC started the season poorly but hasn't lost in its last five matches.

Prediction

Philadelphia Union 1, Toronto FC 1

Money line (ML)

"LEAN" to the DRAW (+300) as Toronto has looked impressive recently. Over its last five matches, TFC has drawn the New York Red Bulls and Nashville SC, and beat the New England Revolution.

Given its form over the last five matches, I wouldn't bet against TFC in this one. Philadelphia has drawn or lost four of its eight home matches, so the Union aren't an overly strong side in front of their own fans.

With the odds in mind, I'd only put a quarter unit on this one, but considering how well Toronto has played against highly talented sides of late, I wouldn't consider Philadelphia to win a great value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (+135) as the best value in this match.

The Toronto defense hasn't been there for most of the season, but recently, it has slowed down challenging opponents. Orlando City SC, Nashville and New York all played to the Under in 1-1 draws with Toronto.

As for the Union, they're more of a defensive-minded side and have given up the fourth-fewest goals in the Eastern Conference. They played to the Under in three of their last five games.

With it being a plus-money bet, it's the way to go on the total.
