Cathedral Prep football standout Jaheim Williams has verbally committed to Duquesne.

Williams has been one of the top defensive players in District 10 over the past three years as a linebacker, and he was set to be an impact player at running back this season before suffering a leg injury. He has returned to the lineup as a linebacker.

“I chose Duquesne because I felt I was wanted. The coaching staff showed that they really wanted me throughout my four years of being a Rambler,” Williams said. “Coach (Mike) Mischler has always been there for me and has always wanted the best for me and I am honored and glad to say that he coached me.”

Williams will join former Prep teammates Jaelen Carson, Billy Lucas and Collin Johnson at Duquesne as well as Prep’s all-time passer, Joe Mischler, who transferred to Duquesne in the offseason.
