Boyer makes final leap as a Blue Devil

Greencastle-Antrim senior Greg Boyer took his track career to the pinnacle of the scholastic end of the sport last week. Although he did not advance out of the preliminary heat in the 110 high hurdles, he iced a career at the PIAA State Championships. Boyer, who was the model of consistency at the District 3-AAA meet a week earlier with an amazing three identical times in the event, wasn’t able to match the 15.14 in his return to Shippensburg University Friday. The athlete who prior to this year was a 300 meter hurdle specialist more than proved his mettle in the shorter event. On Friday, however, Boyer competed in the slowest of four heats and ended up with a 15.51, short of advancing to the semifinals.
