Two Greencastle residents were among the student-athletes on Shalom Christian Academy’s baseball and soccer teams that played their last regular home games for the season on May 1.  As is customary, the mothers of the senior players were presented with red roses by their children. Aaron Witman, who was team captain of the Shalom Flames baseball team for the past two seasons, presented his mom, Kim Witman, with a rose while his dad, Mark Witman, looked on. The fathers of the senior baseball players threw out and caught the first ball of the game. Mark Witman is shown as the catcher, which is also the position Aaron plays. Monica Miller is pictured with her mom, Ginny Miller, and dad, Ray Miller, before the varsity girls’ soccer game.  Shalom girls won the game 5 to 1 against Cumberland Valley Christian School.
