G-AHS soccer fortunes run out on road

After powering to a fifth straight win to no losses on the season while playing the friendly confines of Kaley Field, the Greencastle-Antrim girls’ soccer team felt the first taste of defeat during a road trip to Shippensburg. First, however, the Blue Devils sent Bermudian Springs packing from Kaley Field by dominated 6-1. Sharon Juarez turned the hat trick in the skirmish to push her season tally to nine. Jane Herman, Emiley Maiorana and Rachel Hain added goals in the contest. Shippensburg was winless coming into the game with the undefeated Devils but held out to force overtime at 1-1. Seven minutes into OT the Greyhounds netted the game winner for a 2-1 final. Herman scored the G-A goal.
