Blue Devil players picked for high honors

Greencastle-Antrim athletes were selected for high Mid-Penn Conference honors following the fall season.
The Blue Devils pulled in dual honors in the Colonial Division football picks. Senior Denver Cordell was named the Offensive MVP and classmate Tyler Szaflarski was the Defensive MVP.
In addition G-A head coach Chuck Tinninis was named Coach of the Year in the division.
Classmate Sarah Gipe was selected the co-Player of the Year in the Colonial Division in field hockey.
Cordell and Szaflarski were selected as first teamers both ways. Both were chosen on the first team as offensive backs and on defense as linebackers. Cordell was also as second team selection as a return specialists.
Other Blue Devils selected on offense were Zach Mowen on the line and Nathan Hykes at center. G-A players also named to the first team defense were down lineman Josh Horenstein and Frank Juarez and defensive back Denton Cordell.
Second team selected for the Blue Devils were: on offense, lineman Steven Ernharth; and on defense, Gabe Fridgen as a defensive back.
Gipe had a lot of Blue Devil company on the Colonial all-star team as follows: Tache Smothers, Jenna Lehman, Emiley Maiorana and Danae Timmons.
