The Greencastle-Antrim soccer team (3-2, 2-1 MPC-Colonial) made the most of its first competitive action on the new Kaley Field by not only winning, but defeating rival James Buchanan 3-1.

Paul Herman made his return from injury memorable with an unassisted score midway through the first half. JB managed to tie the score before the Devils turned up the pressure. Herman assisted on the second G-A score, setting the table for Zach Faulkner who put a head on the ball and threaded the twine. G-A dominated from there on out with 25 shots on goal to just four. Taylor Kirkpatrick provided the insurance with a hard boot past the Rocket goalie in the second half.

Earlier in the week it was a different story against Gettysburg and its star player Zach Tarbox. Tarbox delivered the hat trick in a 5-1 victory. Faulkner inked the scoreboard for the Devils on a Corey Meyers assist. Spoonhour was quite busy, making 23 saves. Gettysburg had 27 shots to G-A's eight. The Devils didn't manage corners, while Gettysburg took three.

The Devils traveled to Newville to take on the Bulldogs, who took a 2-0 lead in the first half. G-A found its footing in the second with Faulkner lacing up a pair of goals to tie it. Cody Young earned assist on both scores. The teams played through two overtimes and the tie couldn’t be unknotted. Spoonhour made 22 saves in the game.

In junior varsity action, G-A blanked the Rockets, 3-0, and fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.
