Greencastle-Antrim middle school hockey team wins tournament

After a couple of tough games to open the season, the Greencastle-Antrim Middle School field hockey season is on a roll. Last weekend the Blue Devil varsity team captured the Shippensburg Tournament by defeating Big Spring 3-1 and Shippensburg 2-0. From left, are: first row — Kylie Carbaugh, Deirdre Conway, Emily Bland, Morgan Clopper; second row — Grace Boscolo, Chloe Yoder, Jenna Carty, Kaylynn Sellers, Sabrina Martin, Jillian Barr, Mackenzie Oberholzer, Lauren Cole, Debbie Webb, Jean Hart; third row — Brandy Beard, Abigail Reitz, Abbie Buhrman, Brycelin Speidel, Taylor Siner, coach Angie Barnhart, Jessica Root, Annie Powers and coach Dusty Miller. The team played to a 3-0 loss to Carlisle and a 2-0 loss to Faust last week. The seventh-grade team tied Carlisle and dropped a 1-0 tally to Faust.
