Denver Cordell's buzzer shot lifts Devils over Township

Denver Cordell hit a shot at the buzzer to lift Greencastle-Antrim to a 64-63 victory over Susquehanna Township Tuesday evening in the first round of District 3-AAA boys’ basketball play.

The Blue Devils built a seven-point halftime lead and held off Township down the stretch. Cordell’s game-winning shot iced a 21-point game for the junior. Corey Meyers canned 16 for the Devils and Denton Cordell chalked up a dozen.

G-A, the ninth seed, will now face top-seeded Lancaster Catholic in a game set for 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 in the Giant Center in Hershey.
