Dunks for Drew hoops showcase Feb. 6

The third annual Dunks for Drew Varsity Boys’ Basketball Showcase will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

Milton-Hershey will take on Greencastle-Antrim in the 6 p.m. matchup with Shippensburg squaring off against Chambersburg in the 8 p.m. game.

This event raises money for the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation of Shippensburg. The foundation was founded by former Scotland School for Veterans' Children boys’ basketball coach Randy Taylor and his wife, Marcie, after the death of their 3 1/2 year old son, Drew, in a June 2006 auto accident. Milton-Hershey agreed to take SSVC's place in this event after SSVC closed at the end of the 2008-09 school year.

The Drew Michael Taylor Foundation currently funds Ready, Set, Go! — a kindergarten readiness program in the Shippensburg Area School District, and Drew's Hope — a grief and loss support program for children, teens and their families throughout Western Cumberland, Franklin and surrounding counties.
