EDITORIAL: A season of thanks

Staff Writer

The end of a holiday season that stretches from Thanksgiving to New Year’s is nearly upon us. For some, the tree was down by Christmas night. For some, the Christmas celebration continues through Epiphany. No matter how long your holiday season lasts, we hope you took plenty of time to ponder and appreciate the reason for your celebration. We hope that you’ve been able to enjoy it in spite of any pressures being felt with the economy and uncertainty in our country.

The theme of the seasons of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years can easily be thankfulness. It may be more difficult than usual as 2010 comes to a close. It’s been a challenging year for our country and our community, but there’s always something to be thankful for.

In the spirit of the season, we at the Echo Pilot wish to extend thanks to our readers, newsmakers and advertisers for the support given to your community newspaper in 2010. We appreciate it and look forward to more of the same in 2011. Thank you.
