Tuesday should be a big day in Greencastle-Antrim. Some interesting races are going on for elected positions. Citizens have a chance to perform their civic duty by casting votes in the municipal election Nov. 3.

The primary election in May narrowed the field somewhat, but some important choices remain. There are races for each of the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors, Greencastle-Antrim Board of School Directors and Greencastle Borough Council. Non-presidential elections notoriously have shown a lower turnout, but we encourage voters to not let that happen locally. There are crucial issues ongoing and upcoming for our local governing bodies. Take your chance to select who you want making those decisions.

Some newspapers endorse candidates. We do not. We trust the voters will get it right and put into office the men and women who will act in the best interest of their constituents. Whatever the outcome, we promise to continue to closely cover the activities of the officials you trust with your tax dollars and your future.
