Change in the air

At the risk of sounding cliche in 2009 — change is in the air — in the Greencastle-Antrim community.

Of course change can be good, or bad; productive, or destructive; necessary, or on a whim. Sometimes it’s difficult to determine right away if a change has been for the better of the community. Maybe it will all pan out in the end.

Safety issues have generated the elimination of the weekly programs previously held in our lower level schools that invited parents and grandparents to eat lunch with students. Trick or treat night that was always on the last Thursday will this year be on Halloween.

We don’t know how the changes that are about in Greencastle-Antrim will affect the community. We hope they are changes we need.
