Two good libraries

We hope the results of last week’s poll were illuminating for those considering the future of Greencastle-Antrim community’s public library. The outcome was solidly against any physical connection of the public and school libraries.

While the idea of combining the public and school libraries would possibly solve some financial situations, the feeling of the community appears overwhelmingly against the logistics of such a plan.

Residents already support the school and public library through tax dollars. We believe that fundraising for whatever needs to be done to the Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library building will also be voluntarily supported by this community.

We have a good public library and a good school library. We need them both.
