Heritage In-Home of Greencastle has organized a food drive through Feb. 5 for Franklin County food banks.

The goal is to help the less fortunate during a difficult time. Food stamp funding for February was distributed earlier this month due to the shutdown and no more food stamps will be issued in February.

Canned meats, soups, canned fruit and other canned goods can be dropped off at:

Heritage In-Home, 17 N. Washington St., Greencastle, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations made in Greencastle will remain in Greencastle.

Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, 221 N. Main St., Chambersburg, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to noon.

In addition, cat and dog food also are being accepted.
