Only street light fees rising in Antrim Twp.

The only residents who will see an increase in their bills from Antrim Township next year are those served by street lights.

Supervisors recently approved a proposed budget, with $3,193,000 in the general account, that continues without a property tax. Action on the final budget is expected at the supervisors' Dec. 11 meeting.

Sewer and water rates also will remain the same, according to Brad Graham, township administrator.

Residents with street lights are bill quarterly and the fee will go from $11 to $12 in State Line, including Colonial Drive, and $13 to $14 in the Woodlawn development, which includes Ryan Lane and Tower Drive.

Notable expenditures planned in 2019 from all funds include paving, replacing a truck, constructing a garage and storage building at the township office, sewer treatment plant upgrades and redoing the outside of the barn at Antrim Township Community Park.

Major sources of revenues are the earned income tax, real estate transfer tax and fees received from Mountain View Reclamation as a host municipality for the landfill, according to Graham.
