The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2018 James P. Oliver Award through Aug. 31.

Since 1992, the chamber has presented this award as a way to honor business associates, who through their company, have contributed personal time and involvement beyond normal community service.  Any business owner, manager or recognized representative of a business located in the Greencastle-Antrim area, who promotes and provides extraordinary service to the community is eligible.

After all nominations are received, past recipients of the award confer and then present their recommendation to the chamber for confirmation. A full list of past recipients is listed on the chamber’s website at:

The award will be presented at the annual chamber banquet on Thursday, Oct. 11.

“This is a prestigious award because it offers special recognition to a person, or couple, that exemplifies the unique and special qualities exhibited by James P. Oliver.  We are indeed fortunate to have such people in our community. This is also the means to continue to honor former recipients and express our ongoing appreciation,” said Georgina Cranston, executive director of the chamber.

Forms are available at the chamber office located at 217 E. Baltimore St.; by calling 717-597-4610; or by visiting the website at
