A Paint Nite fundraiser is being planned for a 1979 Greencastle-Antrim High School graduate paralyzed from the chest down as the result of a fall in March.

Cheryl Louise Myers had just moved from Hagerstown to Cumberland, Maryland, and was taking boxes up to her attic when she fell down the steps, according to her daughter, Monica Mills. Myers severely injured her spinal cord, fracturing her C6/C7 vertebrae, and currently lives at Western Maryland Hospital Center, a long-term care facility in Hagerstown.

Mills is organizing the Paint Nite fundraiser for Monday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at John Allison Public House.

Tickets are available at:

The deadline to purchase tickets is Aug. 6 and 30 percent of the ticket sales go towards her unpaid medical expenses.
