About the G-AHS Homecoming Court

Homecoming will be held this weekend at Greencastle-Antrim High School. The king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the football game against West Perry on Friday, Sept. 22.
Candidates are seniors Tyler Baer, Blake Mills, Ian Gelsinger, Emma Zimmerman, Alivia Martin and Gracie Hissong.
The court includes 11th-graders Alexis Doughtery and Nick Ehko, 10th-graders McKenna Rakaczewski and Seth Ryder and ninth-graders Amanda Grosh and Sam Eberhardt.
Senior Emma Zimmerman is the daughter of Troy and Heather Zimmerman. Emma plays softball and field hockey and she is involved in student council. Emma plans to attend a four-year college and become a registered nurse then get married, have children and live life to the fullest. Her favorite quote is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Senior Tyler Baer is the son of Tim and Dana Baer. Tyler attends Franklin County Career and Technology Center with a focus in diesel mechanics. He plans to become a mechanic at a diesel shop. His favorite quote is, “If the mud looks deep, put it to the floor, because you can’t get through life without taking risks.”
Senior Gracie Hissong is the daughter of Brian and Becky Hissong. Gracie plays volleyball and she is involved in the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society and Peer Leaders. She plans to go to college to become a physician assistant, marry the man of her dreams, have a family, and live happily ever after. Her favorite quote by Tinker Bell is, “All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie-dust.”
Senior Ian Gelsinger is the son of Scott and Kerry Gelsinger. Ian plays football, soccer and basketball and he enjoys fishing and hunting. Ian plans to go to college to become an engineer, get married and have a family. Ian’s favorite quote by Ricky Bobby is, “If you ain’t first you’re last.”
Senior Alivia Martin is the daughter of Scott and Leigh-Ann Martin. Alivia is a member of student council and Big Buddies. She also plays field hockey and competes in track and field. Alivia plans to attend college for a degree in marketing, get married, have kids, and live happily ever after. Her favorite quote by Dr. Seuss is, “Kid, you’ll move mountains!”
Senior Blake Mills is the son of Tom and Susan Mills. Blake is involved in the weightlifting club and he plays football. He plans to attend college and get a degree in business. His favorite quote is by G-AHS football Coach Chuck Tinninis, “Put the ball down.”
Junior Alexis Dougherty is the daughter of Ryan and Lauren Dougherty and Chris and Betsy Yumlu. Alexis plays field hockey, competes in track and field and is involved in student council, Big Buddies, Leadership Franklin County Youth and Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership. She plans to graduate high school, attend a four-year university, study abroad and travel, pursue a medical degree and career to help others, start a family, and ultimately see the future God has planned for her. Alexis’ favorite quote is by Michael Scott, Dunder-Mifflin branch manager, “Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”
Junior Nick Ehko is the son of Jeff and Valerie Ehko. He plays basketball and soccer, competes in track and field and is involved in Peer Leaders, student council, Young Life and Campaigners. Nick plans to graduate high school and college, become a high school math teacher and basketball coach, have an awesome family and go where God leads him. His favorite quote is from a fortune cookie, “Some people dream of worthy accomplishments while others stay awake and do them.”
Sophomore McKenna Rakaczewski is the daughter of Jason and Melissa Rakaczewski. She plays basketball and will compete in track in the spring. After graduation, she plans to go to college, get a good job, meet a nice man and start a family. Her favorite quote by Bob Marley is, “Love the life you live. Live the life you love.”
Sophomore Seth Ryder is the son of Jeremy and Melissa Mason. Seth plays football and competes in wrestling. He plans to go far away for college and get a degree in teaching. He then plans to return to G-AHS and apply for a job. His favorite quote is, “You must accept great things of yourself before you can do them.”
Freshman Amanda Grosh is the daughter of Mike and Anita Grosh. Amanda plays basketball and softball. Her future plans are to go to college, get married and start a family. Her favorite quote is, “Be the reason someone smiles today.”
Freshman, Sam Eberhardt, is the son of Jon and Sue Eberhardt. He plays football and ice hockey and competes in track. He plans to earn a degree in aerospace engineering and obtain a job at NASA. His favorite quote by Paul Brandit is, “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footsteps on the moon.”
