Library system book sale will be held in Greencastle

The seventh Franklin County Library System Book Sale will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, to Sunday, Oct. 8, at Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library, 305 E. Baltimore St. A ribbon-cutting and words from sponsor M&T Bank will open the book sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 5.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be a $5 a bag sale on Sunday.

The sale will feature over 14,000 items, including new fiction and nonfiction, a large children’s collection, young adult books, DVDs, books on CD, young adult titles and a variety of nonfiction works. Donations for the sale are accepted at libraries in the system from May to September and proceeds from the sale benefit the libraries.

New to the lineup this year is a bake sale.
