Fun Day planned at playground

David Wayne will perform a magic show during the Jerome R. King Playground Fun Day on Aug. 19.

The Jerome R. King Playground Fun Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Nelson Pavilion and bandshell area of the playground.

Activities will be offered for Greencastle area youngsters from preschoolers to middle schoolers.

There will be pony rides, a moon bounce, tattooing, art activity, musical activities by Growing with Music and games.

There will be balloon twisting by Miss Penelope from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a magic show by David Wayne from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. Their appearances are sponsored by First Community Bank of Mercersburg.

There will be hot dogs and popcorn, along with watermelon provided by Greencastle VFW Post 6319 and ice cream donated by Mikie’s Ice Cream and served by the Greencastle Exchange Club.

Those attending should go to the registration table for hot dog tickets and a gift.
