Runners from last years Splash Your Sole 5K get a dash of color. This year’s run, sponsored by Summit Health and the 11/30 Network of Franklin County, will benefit Antrim Township Community Park.

Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are invited to get “splashed” at the most colorful race in the area this May.

Summit Health and the 11/30 Network of Franklin County on Saturday, May 13, will host the fourth annual Splash Your Sole 5k at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville.

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Antrim Township Community Park.

“Summit Health is committed to helping our community members live their healthiest lives possible,” said Vice President of Community Relations Barbara Rossini. “We’re invested in not only caring for you when you’re sick, but also in helping make the communities we serve healthier and more livable through the support of local wellness initiatives.”

Rain or shine, participants will weave through Norlo Park, getting covered in a rainbow of colors at four stations spaced throughout the course. The color is nontoxic and safe for participants and the environment.

The fun, untimed run will have heats at 8 and 9 a.m. Participants can preregister for the 5k online or in person the day of the event. The $30 registration fee includes a T-shirt and goody bag. Children younger than 10 may participate for free, but will not receive a T-shirt. T-shirts are limited so, preregistration is advised.
