Princess Fiona played by Hannah Salazar, Donkey played by Abigail Marconi and Shrek played by Matthew Mowen act out a scene from the Greencastle-Antrim High School Drama Club's production of "Shrek the Musical."

The Greencastle-Antrim Drama Club will present “Shrek the Musical” on Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8, in the high school auditorium, 300 S. Ridge Ave. Performances are planned at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday.

“Shrek the Musical”  tells the story of a swamp-dwelling ogre who goes on a life-changing adventure to reclaim the deed to his land. Joined by a wisecracking donkey, this unlikely hero fights a fearsome dragon, rescues a feisty princess and learns that real friendship and true love are not only found in fairy tales.

“Shrek the Musical” is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone, according to Kevin Carley Greencastle-Antrim High Drama Club director.

Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will only be sold at the door.
