Teen waives hearing

A Greencastle teenager will continue onto adult court in the New Year's Eve shooting death of a 17-year-old.
Taylor Nelson, 15, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Tuesday in the death of Matthew Mitchell.
Nelson's mandatory arraignment will be on Feb. 15 where he will enter a plea.
According to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania State Police, Nelson was angry at Mitchell for picking on him and got a gun from his father's nightstand to "scare" Mitchell. The teen allegedly chambered a round to further frighten Mitchell, dropped the magazine out of the gun and eventually pointed it at Mitchell's forehead and pulled the trigger.
Mitchell died at the scene.
Both were students at Greencastle-Antrim High School.
Nelson is being charged as an adult with criminal homicide in the shooting of Mitchell.
