Hurleys recognized by school board
The school board thanked the brains behind the recent online auction of outdated and unneeded school supplies.
The auction was conducted in August and raised $11,500.
Greencastle-Antrim School District originally planned a yard sale, so middle school principal Mark Herman called in auctioneer Matt Hurley to help with pricing. Hurley suggested an auction to attract a wider audience. His family members helped with itemizing and logging the information into the computer. Hoover was pleased with the amount of money the auction generated compared to a yard sale.
