Gershon Bangura, 9, and Jacob Kline, 9, from Jennifer Higgins’ fourth-grade class, were among the Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School students who participated in two online reading campaigns. While in the library under the direction of librarian Joyce Dietrich, they moved to stations, checking out books, doing a worksheet, or reading books on the computer. As a result, the children earned 486 books for G-AES and 419 books for schools in India. “They had a great time and their behavior was better,” said volunteer Gunter Schanzenbacher.
