Greencastle-Antrim Middle School musicians will perform the annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 in the Greecastle-Antrim High School auditorium.

The concert is free to the public.

The concert will begin with the Sixth Grade Band, conducted by Alyson Balascik. The band will begin with “Christmas Processional” followed by an exciting arrangement of “Ukranian Bell Carol.” A twist on “Jingle Bells” called “Christmas Fantasy” is next. They will finish with the lively tune “Up on the Housetop.”

The Sixth Grade Chorus, conducted by Joyce Gerstenlauer, will perform next. Their portion of the concert will include such numbers as “Marshmellow World”, “The Wassail Song” and an arrangement of “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”

Next up will be the Middle School Band, conducted by Eric Plum. The band will begin with “Two Famous Carols”, which includes the tunes “What Child is This” and “We Three Kings.” Next will be “Christmas Isn't Christmas Without a Little Rock and Roll” followed by the mysterious “Distant Voices”. The band will end its  portion of the concert with the fun festive favorite “Feliz Navidad”.

After the Middle School Band, several small ensembles will perform various holiday tunes. These ensembles include the Girls' Ensemble, Boyz Noyz and Show Choir, made up of seventh- and eighth-grade students chosen by audition.

The final portion of the concert will be the Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Chorus, directed by Gerstenlauer, and accompanied by eighth-grader Harrison Scott. The chorus will sing “Jazz Gloria”, “Let It Snow” and “Still, Still, Still.”
