Matt Oberholtzer, center, and Harrison Scott will represent Greencastle-Antrim Middle School at WITF’s Central PA Spelling Bee on Jan. 30. The contest is a step to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May. Language Arts teacher Raymond Mowery, left, coordinated the local bee.
The top 10 spellers from sixth, seventh and eighth grades competed in the Greencastle-Antrim Middle School Spelling Bee on Dec. 21. Each participant received a t-shirt from the PTO and the finalists earned collegiate dictionaries signed by G-AMS faculty and staff.
