Greencastle-Antrim band tunes for championships

The Greencastle-Antrim High School Field Band has set a good tone for championships with its highest score of the competitive season.
G-A traveled to the Red Lion Competition Saturday and nailed a 91.35 to claim first place in the American Conference (Group 2). Littlestown was a couple of points behind with 89.70 and nemesis Penn Manor was third with 89.05.
The rest of the group finished as follows: 4. Spring Grove, 87.15; 5. Bermudian Springs, 85.25; 6. Eastern York, 80.80; 7. Southern Tioga, 79.70.
The band will perform during the district football playoff game on Kaley Field Friday, Nov. 12 before taking to the road Saturday, Nov. 13 for Hersheypark Stadium and the Cavalcade of Bands Championships.
