G-A band goes above 90 in win

The Greencastle-Antrim High School Field Band took a solid step in its 2010 competitive season Saturday by not only taking first in its division, but scoring above a 90 in the tally at the Manheim Central Competition.
G-A scored a 90.90 to easily bypass Penn Manor (88.75) in the American Conference (Group 2). The local group’s score was the second highest of any band on the night. Northern Lebanon was third with 85.25 and Conestoga Valley fourth with 84.65.
The next performance of the band will be during pre-game of the Big Spring at G-A football contest Friday, Nov. 5. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. The band will then travel to the 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 Red Lion competition.
