G-AHS Homecoming being celebrated this week

Greencastle-Antrim High School is in the midst of Homecoming celebrations, with the game Friday night pitting the Blue Devils against West Perry. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. It will be preceded by a parade through town at 6 p.m. and presentation of the homecoming court at 7 p.m. on Kaley Field.

Students are participating in Spirit Week, wearing special clothing each day. Thursday the seniors will be in blue, the juniors in yellow, the sophomores in red and the freshmen in green. Friday is Blue and Gold Day. The students will attend a pep rally in the afternoon.

The dance is Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

The homecoming king and queen will be selected from the senior princes and princesses. They are Zeb Blackstock, Dyshean Workman, Jordan Koons, Ali Stouffer, Caitlyn Hoover and Paige Klouser. Their court consists of juniors Corey Meyers and Rachel Kline, sophomores Taylor Kirkpatrick and Morgan Fetting, and freshmen Justin Hovey and Jane Eberhardt.

Royal biographies

Zeb Blackstock is the son of Steve Blackstock and Jennifer Eckert. He enjoys golfing and fishing and plans to attend college.

Dyshean Workman is the son of Mocha Biles-Workman and Telacy Biles. He likes basketball. He plans to go to college for business and management and to continue to play basketball.

Jordan Koons is the son of Jennifer Rotz and JR Koons. He enjoys playing sports. He wants to attend Penn State University to major in chemistry.

Ali Stouffer is the daughter of Brian and Stephanie Stouffer. She enjoys softball and supporting the Blue Devils. She wants to major in physical therapy in college.

Caitlyn Hoover is the daughter of Greg Hoover and Susan Bowen. She plays basketball and soccer. She plans to major in special or primary education.

Paige Klouser is the daughter of Andy Klouser and Tracy and David Leidig. She plays field hockey. She hopes to continue with that sport and go to college.

Corey Meyers is the son of Andy and Sarah Meyers. He enjoys basketball and soccer. His future plans are to attend college for criminal justice to become a police officer.

Rachel Kline is the daughter of Bob and Julie Kline. She enjoys basketball and softball. She plans to be a registered nurse after college.

Taylor Kirkpatrick is the son of Brian and Shawn Kirkpatrick. He enjoys soccer, track and snowboarding. He wants to go to college in North Carolina.

Morgan Fetting is the daughter of Randy and Lacinda Fetting. She plans to major in nursing at college.

Justin Hovey is the son of Jeff and Cindy Hovey. He likes baseball, basketball, football and soccer. He dreams of playing major league baseball and to also attend the University of Florida.

Jane Eberhardt is the daughter of Jon and Sue Eberhardt. She likes playing field hockey and soccer. She plans to attend college for marine biology or forensic science.
