Teachers join G-ASD

New teachers to the Greencastle-Antrim School District met returning faculty and staff during an inservice day and luncheon on Aug. 25. They also spent two days with administration in their own school buildings last week. Students joined them on Aug. 30. Thirteen new teachers joined the roster of the Greencastle-Antrim School District for 2010-2011, either as permanent employees or long term substitutes. The professional staff additions included: Joyce Gerstenlauer, middle school music, BS from Indiana University and master’s from Penn State University in music education, 16 years of experience; Heidi Cummings, first grade, BS in elementary education from Shippensburg University, seven years of experience; Timothy Hill, high school technology education, BSBA and master’s from Shippensburg University in business education, zero years of experience;

Edward Holland, middle school science, BS in science from Shippensburg University, 10 years of experience; Jennifer Steck, second grade, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, eight years of experience; Brian Tressler, high school social studies, BS from Shippensburg University in education, 10 years of experience; Aftan Francis, primary long-term sub in art, BS from Messiah University in art education, one year of experience;

Tara Beckner, primary LTS, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, zero years of experience; Erin Grimes, primary LTS, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, one year of experience; Emily Trace, primary LTS, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, zero years of experience;

Annette Measell, sixth grade, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, one year of experience; Jenna Goshorn, fifth grade, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, one year of experience; and Katie Miller, primary/elementary computer, BS from Shippensburg University in elementary education, zero years of experience.
