The GED program at the Waynesboro Area School District is set to begin another school year.  Registration for both the adult education classes and the GED test will be held beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7 and continuing on Wednesday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the GED office in the middle school.

GED classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. throughout the school year.  All classes are free of charge.  The program has four highly qualified teachers who are able to meet most students' needs, no matter what age or educational background.

The GED test is given monthly at the Middle School.  The test consists of five subjects:  writing, social studies, science, reading, and math.  Each month, the test begins on a Friday evening and continues on Saturday morning.  The cost of a complete GED test is $75.  Partial tests are also administered at a cost of $20 each.
