Commencement set for 227 G-A graduates

The Class of 2010 ends its days at Greencastle-Antrim High School this week. Commencement exercises will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12 on Kaley Field. Guest speaker is Rob Kauffman, G-AHS alumni and Pennsylvania State representative, addressing the 227 students on “Leading a Purposeful Life.”

The Concert Band will play the Processional, Recessional and Star Spangled Banner and the senior members of the choir will perform "Time of Your Life"with guitar accompanist Sarah Jansen. Jesse Herman will deliver the welcome.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the high school auditorium with limited seating.

The Baccalaureate Service will be held Thursday, June 10 in the auditorium. It will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Stacy Crawford, First United Methodist Church, officiating. His topic is “The Right Way to Build a Life.”

Music will be provided by the Concert Band, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir.

The seniors will enjoy a picnic after graduation rehearsal on Friday, sponsored by the senior class and provided through donations from local businesses and individuals. Class advisors are Melissa Luther, Kylene Swain and Devin McCauley.
