Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed that one person was killed in a three-vehicle accident this morning on Interstate 81 in the Greencastle area.

According to a news release, the fatal crash happened at the 2.5 mile marker of the highway in Antrim Township around 11 a.m., closing the interstate in both directions.

In addition to the fatality, there was a minor injury and another person involved who was not injured, police said.

Traffic was increased and slowed this morning in the area because of vehicles being detoured off the highway.
