Several properties were spray painted in one night in downtown Greencastle.

Sometime overnight on July 26, one or more people with too much time on their hands, walked along West Baltimore Street and South Carlisle Street, marking private property with black spray paint. A business sign, front door pillars and a porch were marred.

Greencastle police chief John Phillippy said no suspects have been identified for the graffiti, so no charges have been filed. At least one property owner does not plan to remove the paint immediately. He was not happy to discover the act of vandalism.
