Drug charges filed after traffic stop

Pennsylvania State Police reported: Tina Janette Saponara, 40, Williamsport, Md. was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police after she allegedly ran a tractor trailer off the northbound lane of I-81 near mile marker 5 at 11:48 p.m. Jan. 19. She had been driving erratically and got off at exit 14, where police conducted a traffic stop. They saw a white powdery substance in her nose and marijuana in plain view in her vehicle. An open container of beer was also inside. At Chambersburg Hospital tests showed that her blood contained clonazepam, cocaine and benzoylecgonine. She was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and various traffic violations.
