Drug and DUI offenses charged against Virginia woman

Donna Sue Southers, no age given, Stanley, Va., was charged for several offenses on I-81 at 11:30 a.m. March 1. Pennsylvania State Police stopped her at northbound mile marker 10 after receiving reports that she struck two vehicles in Maryland and one in Pennsylvania and did not stop. She was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR. Police found 8.5 oxcycodone pills and other pills in a plastic bag in her purse when she let them look for her driver's license. Southers was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for testing.

She was charged with driving under the influence, accident involving damage, possession of a controlled substance, misbranding and duty to give information and render aid.
