Truck sought in accident that claimed life of Keith Monninger of Greencastle

Authorities are looking for information about a truck that was involved in an accident Wednesday evening in the Marion area that claimed the life of a Greencastle man.

Keith Lee Monninger, 37, 1286 Preston Lane, died from injuries sustained after his motorcycle and a light-colored box truck collided at U.S. 11 South and Social Island Road in Guilford Township. Pennsylvania State Police said the hit and run accident happened at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7.

According to police, the truck pulled out from Overcash Road heading west. It crossed over U.S. 11 while traveling north diagonally to enter the intersection with Social Island Road. Monninger was traveling south on 11.

After impact, the driver of the truck continued west without stopping. Police are seeking any information on the fatal accident. It is unknown if the truck was damaged. It may be a white, short-nosed local box delivery truck, and travel the route on occasion, police said.

Two people were possible eyewitnesses but left prior to being interviewed by police. Police ask that they step forward.
