A Salvation Army bell ringer found out that not everyone in Franklin County is in the spirit of the season this week as she was collecting donations at a Hamilton Township grocery store.

Pennsylvania State Police reported that around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 while Vonda D. Kelso, 62, of Chambersburg, was sitting in a motorized wheelchair collecting donations at Sunnyway on Warm Spring Road two men approached her and took the kettle. The men left in a white vehicle.

One of the men was 5-5 to 5-7 in height with a thin build and light skinned. The other, who was driving the vehicle, was 5-9 to 6 feet in height and of a heavier build and was black.

Police said their investigation is continuing. Any information can be called to police at 264-5161.
