Photos of Scotland bank robbers released by police

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking help from the public to solve the armed robbery of the First National Bank of Mercersburg in Scotland Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities have released security images of the three suspects in the robbery of the bank at 3141 Black Gap Road in Greene Township. The men displayed a handgun in demanding all the cash from the bank tellers. They left on foot with a large amount of money, ran through the parking lot and across Black Gap Road before fleeing in a dark blue Jeep Cherokee.

The three suspects are desribed by police as follows: black with a heavy build, wearing tan pants and blue long-sleeve shirt, and a dark bandana covering his face; white, medium build, wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweat shirt with the hood up, a baseball cap and white shoes; white, thin build, wearing brown pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, dark sunglasses, a black fedora and white shoes, carrying a dark bag.

Any information about the robbery should be called to state police at 264-5161.
