County emergency services holds safety fair

The Franklin County Department of Emergency Services (FCDES) will hold its first ever Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at 390 New York Ave.

Actives will include: car seat checks by Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department; blood pressure checks by South Mountain Volunteer Fire Department; K-9 demonstration by Chambersburg Police Department; Life-Net 8-1; Pennsylvania State Police; West Shore's Mass Casualty Unit display; American Red Cross; CPR classes;  baby sitter classes; tours of the 911 center; Franklin County Sheriff's Department; fire trucks display.

There will an opportunity to win door prizes. There will be something for all ages, including balloon animals for the kids.
