Charges filed stem from stolen car two years ago
Jasmine Marie Campbell, 23, and Asmar Randy King, 32, both of Waynesboro, were just charged in the report of a stolen vehicle two years ago.
On Dec. 1, 2008, Campbell told Pennsylvania State Police that her vehicle was missing from 710 Franklin Court, Greencastle. A witness told police that she had seen King drive the vehicle into the driveway at that address Dec. 1. The officer told Campbell Dec. 26 that he needed to speak to King. King returned the call but refused to come into the barracks. The officer was unable to contact either person by telephone or in person on multiple tries over several dates.
On May 25, 2010, King was arrested on unrelated charges and gave a written confession to burning Campbell’s 2002 Isuzu Axiom at her request. He was charged with intent to defraud insurer.
Campbell was charged with insurance fraud and false reports to law enforcement.
