Matthew Harp injured in accident

Matthew Harp, Greencastle, sustained moderate injuries in a multiple-vehicle accident at 7:25 a.m. Oct. 7 on I-81 near mile marker 1.5. Harp was northbound in the right lane and lost control of his Mazda 3. He struck the passenger side of a Chevrolet Impala in the left lane, driven by Jose Castillo, Tijuana, Texas.

Harp's vehicle then struck the rear of a Freightliner driven by Michael Hawk, Ash Flat, Ark., and came to rest across the northbound lanes. The Impala also struck the tractor trailer and stopped in the median between the north and south lanes.

Harp was taken to Chambersburg Hospital by Greencastle EMS. A passenger in the Impala, Gloria Rodriguez, Rosarito, Mexico, was transported to Washington County Hospital for moderate injuries. Both cars were towed.

Greencastle Fire and EMS assisted with traffic control.

Harp and a passenger in the truck were not wearing seatbelts.
