Volunteers are holding a silent auction fundraiser on Sunday, May 1, at Rolling Mills Restaurant in Waynesboro, from noon to 6 p.m. to support the Children’s Organ Transplant Association(COTA), in honor of Sarah Foose, a local Waynesboro woman and Greencastle teacher who is waiting for a double-lung transplant.

Foose’s family has asked for assistance from COTA. The organization’s priority is to ensure that a transplant does not financially devastate a family. One hundred percent of all funds raised are used for patients’ transplant-related expenses. COTA  is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

If interested in making a donation, it may be mailed to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, 2501 W. COTA Drive, Bloomington, Indiana, 47403. Checks or money orders should be made payable to COTA, with “In Honor of Team Sarah F.” written on the memo line.

Secure credit card donations are also accepted online at www.COTAforTeamSarahF.com.
