The Echo Pilot has not gotten any official word on what the police activity is going on at the M&T Bank on Route 16 in Greencastle this morning, but officers and at least one K-9 unit are currently on the scene.

Nine days ago the Greencastle branch of M&T was robbed at gunpoint. No arrest has been reported in that robbery.

Greencastle-Antrim schools are on lockdown after Greencastle Police Chief John Phillippy made the request shortly after 10 this morning.

The Echo Pilot spoke with Dr. Bob Crider, Chief Educational Officer, around 10:45. He said school officials locked down the schools as a precaution and that all are safe, with education continuing.
