G-AHS gym cleared by smoke odor

The crowd in the Greencastle-Antrim High School awaiting a showdown between the rival Blue Devils and the James Buchanan Rockets tonight had to be cleared from the gym when the smell of smoke was detected.

Rescue Hose Company units responded.

A belt on the furnace was the culprit.

When it was safe the fans were allowed to re-enter the building, delaying action by about a half hour.
