Rebecca Louise (Harrell) Hill of Elkhart, Ind. first saw the light of this world on Oct. 1, 1950, and the light of a new world without pain on Aug. 25, 2012.

She was the well-loved daughter of Lois Evelyn Harrell and George Gurney Harrell, both of whom preceded her in death.

Rebecca (Becky) lived most of her early life in Greencastle, where her education began in the Greencastle-Antrim school system. She graduated with the Class of 1968. She went two years to Huntington College, Ind. (now University), before graduating from Lebanon Valley College (PA) in 1972, with a degree in music education.

Becky and Roderick Hill were united in marriage on Aug. 14, 1971 at Otterbein United Brethren Church in Greencastle.

Becky has left behind the cares of this life, as well as her husband, her brother, Alan Harrell and wife Linda of Indio, Calif., and her three children: Roy, with wife Faith (Feifel) and children Abby, Caleb and Seth, living in Sierra Leone, West Africa; Ryan and daughters Cearra and Caila, Spring Hill, Fla.; and Rachael Sefton (Nick) of Indianapolis, Ind., whose children are Keegan, Lillie and Quinn.

Becky was a music teacher at Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation. She will be sorely missed by her students and by her colleagues, whom she told she was going to sing in the Heavenly Choir.

Celebration of Life arrangements are pending.
