The Greencastle-Antrim Baseball Booster organization has issued a challenge to businesses in the community to help raise money for cancer.

The group has developed a “Ks for Cancer” project for the spring high school baseball season. For every strikeout that the varsity baseball pitchers record against an opponent, the boosters will give $3 to help in the fight against cancer. The money raised will be presented to the American Cancer Society at the Greencastle Relay for Life event in May, held at Kaley Field.

Businesses are invited to get in on the cause and pledge an amount for each K the Blue Devil pitchers ring up in the scorebook.

The boosters also are selling bracelets as a fundraiser in support of the cause. They are available for purchase at the concession stand on game days and at Athlete's Edge.

Anyone wishing to donate should contact Michele Crist at 593-0494.
