Greencastle police are warning residents to be aware of wild animals and take proper cautions. A raccoon was recently found in borough limits. Because it was acting strangely, it was euthanized. Since there was no indication it came into contact with a human, the Pennsylvania Game Commission did not require it to be tested for rabies.
Police also remind residents to keep pets up to date on rabies vaccinations.
